Q Med Spa Updates: Staff
Training
The staff at Q Med Spa prides themselves on staying up-to-date on the latest advances in
non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
Joan Lucas, RN, recently attended the International Institute of Permanent Cosmetics in
Costa Mesa, California. During her visit, she attended classes such as Advanced Techniques in Permanent Eyeliner, Lip Colour & Eyebrow Hair
Simulation, Introductory Techniques in Areola Pigmentation and Skin Needling and Introduction to Corrective Pigment Camouflage.
Jennifer (LPN & Licensed Esthetician), Tracey (Licensed Esthetician), Karie (Licensed
Esthetician) and Kelly (Spa Coordinator) all attended a Jane Iredale Makeup Master Class in Medical Camouflage. In addition to a variety of new
camouflage techniques they learned, they were also taught how to cover body tattoos.

Turn Back the Hands of Time: Hand
Rejuvenation Treatments
Radiesse, one of our favorite fillers for the aging face has recently been
used by Dr. Koenig on the hands. The Radiesse adds volume
to the hands and makes the veins appear less noticeable. Best of all this is
done in about ½ hour and you can go back to work immediately.
In addition to prominent veins, many patients have expressed their concern regarding sun
spots. Over the years, the
sun damages the skin of your hands which is usually unprotected. IPL treatments are available to lessen brown spots.
